One of the great things about our area is that even things that are technically out of town are really only a short drive away. When we’re looking for a night out on the town, we Salt Lake residents actually have the entire Wasatch Front to choose from.
One option, currently playing at the Terrace Plaza Playhouse in Ogden (99 East 4700 South), is the classic musical romp “Damn Yankees.” Running Monday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., “Damn Yankees” tells the story of Joe Hardy, a baseball player who sells his soul to the devil in order to help his team beat the Yankees. Since he’s a fast talker, however, Hardy manages to wrangle an escape clause out of the devil, which means that he has a chance to keep himself out of hell. If, of course, he can meet his deadline.
Tickets are available either by phone (801-393-0070) or at the Terrace Plaza box office (detailed directions are available at the theater’s web site). For those looking to grab some dinner before the show, tripadvisor.com has reader reviews of several Ogden restaurants.
