Pioneer Theatre Company is serving up an artistic variety platter with their current theatrical meal of “Is He Dead?”

PTC’s Loge Gallery is currently showing paintings from the Park City Professional Artists Association, a group of visual artists from Summit and Wasatch counties. The work, which will be on display at the gallery from 10-6 p.m. now through Nov. 14, include everything from vivid still-lifes to rich nature scenes.

Though the widest range of the artist association’s work won’t be on display – several of the members focus on jewelry – a brief glance through the two-dimensional artists show an interesting mix of styles and tones that suit the cheerful chaos of Mark Twain’s farce about faking your death and hiding your identity. Though not quite as bright and bold as the play, the art serves as a worthy appetizer.
