Free live Jazz on Fillmore!

It was really nice to see a fun alternative to packed music festivals this weekend. The 1st Annual "Taste Of Fillmore" was held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 3rd and from the looks of it, there will be another one next year! The Fillmore Merchants & Improvement Association and Steven Restivo Event Services threw the party, blocked off Fillmore Street between Pine & California and for only $20.00 you got a wristband that gave you access to food sampling and wine tasting from 15 restaurants. There was also a trendy little fashion show and free entertainment from local Jazz musicians. It's great to see local merchants come up with creative ways to beat the recession by kicking things up a notch.
