isa Kudrow is the first to RSVP. Cox's Friends co-star will be the first of her former castmates to do a guest appearance on her ABC comedy breakout hit Cougar Town. Monica and Phoebe on the prowl, y'all! Rawr!
Kudrow's guest shot will film next month. According to Cox, "“She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me." The episode will air in early 2010.
Cougar Town's pilot shamed all us viewers when we actually laughed out loud at it...a lot. The series shamed us even more as we came back week after week...and laughed even more. Despite how cringeworthy the premise, the show cleverly doles out the zingers at rapidfire, and Cox and her co-stars Busy Phillpps and Christa Miller have a modern Sex and the City dynamic going on that really works. The show makes an excellent companion to the series that airs right before out, the hilarious dysfunctional family comedy Modern Family. The ABC 9 pm comedy block has quickly become appointment television, thanks to these two clever comedies.
Now that Ms. Buffay is headed to Cougar Town, what other cougars would you like to co-star in the future? It's only a matter of time until Jennifer Aniston deigns to show up. How about a cougar brawl between Aniston and Jolie? I think that cougar who lives in apartment 2B should definitely stop by. I see you giving me the eye in the laundry room. Shout me a holler you pretty young thang.
