Valentine's Day is once again rapidly approaching (or so my fiancée tells me). Last February was far more fun for New York Giants fans. It was also much easier to purchase a Valentine's Day present for your favorite Giants fan as there was a plethora of Super Bowl merchandise available. Don't despair, however, if you're shopping for a Valentine's Day gift for your favorite Big Blue follower. There are plenty of options to consider, even if you did purchase a Giants-themed Christmas gift for your loved one.

Phil Simms Fathead

I was always skeptical on these Fathead things until I saw one at a local establishment during the football season. They really are pretty cool. Sure, you could purchase the Eli Manning Fathead. Why not pay homage to the past and spend 20 bucks less on the Simms Fathead? Besides, as of the writing of this piece, the Tiki Barber Fathead is sold out. I know you're all as upset about this as I am.

Quick aside: Everybody who has as many Super Bowl rings as Tiki Barber, raise your hands. That one never gets old.

New York Giants Coach Series Watch

I've been getting emails from Overstock regarding “Huge Sales!” for the past month. I actually checked the website out the other day and I came across this watch. The watch is currently $14 dollars cheaper than normal and I personally prefer the (big) blue watch face as opposed to the fancy fake gold you see in stores. This watch would be a great Valentine's Day gift for either the male or female in your life who lives and dies on the Giants.

New York Giants gift set from Things Remembered

Kind of an odd gift set but nice nevertheless, this set includes a New York Giants shot glass and lighter. Even better, you get to engrave your own personal message on both items. Sure, a shot glass and lighter aren't necessary cliché romantic Valentine's Day gifts. You don't need to be mushy on every Valentine's Day, though.

Don't forget about the women in your life who love the New York Giants this Valentine's Day!

You can follow this link to find numerous New York Giants apparel for ladies. My favorite item on this list is probably the Full Zip Ruffled Hoody by Alyssa Milano. Click on this link and you'll quickly see why I love this hoody. Sigh.

If you're strapped for cash but still want to make your lady friend happy, you could always purchase a women's Jeremy Shockey or Plaxico Burress jersey. This is only recommended if the female is a half-hearted Giants fan. Otherwise, you'll probably get into some trouble if you give either of these items as a Valentine's Day gift.

You may also want to consider these pink New York Giants slippers. The pink makes the slippers somewhat romantic while the Giants logo on the front of the slippers exude team spirit. $25 for slippers isn't a bad price and you could combine the slippers with these fashionable New York Giants pajamas.

If worse comes to worse...

You could always buy A Plaxico Burress Christmas. Christmas could be everyday for your favorite Giants fan.
