Local author, astrologist and nutritionist, Stephanie Gailing, and yoga teacher and nutritionist, Melina Meza, are offering a unique opportunity to nurture your personal wellness this autumn by means of yoga, nutrition and astrology.

Upcoming astrological events will be used to recommend wellness strategies that will keep you feeling your best as the leaves change colors and we wave goodbye to our dear summer. It’s no secret that summer in the Pacific Northwest is a certain kind of paradise. The beautiful parks, lakes and mountains, lush from spring showers, come to life under the shining sun. After months of cold weather and overcast skies, the vitamin D-deprived become sun worshippers. We often mourn the end of summer as if it will never reappear from behind the clouds.

Alas, summer, like a boomerang, will always return. Rather than grieving for its imminent end, we should celebrate the beauty that each season bestows upon Seattle. Autumn means red and gold leaves, football season and pumpkins. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas will keep us busy until the new year. This also means we may spend less time outdoors and more time feasting.

Hence, there is no better time to heed your wellness than right now. Summer is an easy time to be healthy. Fresh fruits and vegetables abound at farmers markets, the warm weather encourages activity and the sun brightens spirits. The greater challenge is to maintain a healthy lifestyle year-round. Fortunately, each season has its merits. This yoga and astrological wellness class offers the perfect chance to kick off the delightful fall season with inspiring new wellness tips and tricks. Stephanie and Melina, both experts in their fields, are sure to offer an exceptionally insightful and engaging lesson.

The class, which costs $40 in advance or $45 on the day of, will take place on September 13th, 6:00 to 9:00 pm at 8 Limbs Yoga Center on Capitol Hill (500 E. Pike St in Seattle).
