Lately, the Source blog has made a habit of promoting the Batgirl series. Yesterday Ian Sattler wrote an entry claiming it was one of his favorite DCU titles. Today they leaked the cover for the sixth issue of the series.

"It’s the middle of the week, and you can almost taste the weekend, huh? So, what better way to expedite things than a lovely piece of Phil Noto artwork? Here’s the cover to January’s BATGIRL #6, which from what I can tell, will feature a certain Dynamic Duo crossing paths with the new Batgirl. Doesn’t look like it’ll be a pleasant exchange either."

Issue 5's solicitations talks of her upcoming confrontation with the new Dynamic Duo which may spill into issue 6 judging by the cover. It'll be interesting to see Stephanie's interaction with Dick because, oddly enough, they've rarely acknowledged eachother over the years.

I am still enjoying the new Batgirl series. Some fans are still a bit stung by Stephanie taking the mantle instead of Babs. One fan over at "Comic Book Resources" even called for a retirement of the Batgirl name.

Issues 5 and 6 of "Batgirl" will ship in December and January.
