Has fashion gone to the dogs? The answer to this question is yes! Fashion shows featuring man’s best friend are popping up all over mainstream America. Dogs are showing man how to be fashionable and in style. And, guess what? There are also prizes.
Unlike in traditional fashion shows, several of the fashion shows featuring dogs include prizes for the best outfit and procured dog. The kind of prizes participants can win by strutting their stuff down a runway ranges from ninety-nine cent ribbons to cash. The prizes are just a few incentives pushing dog owners to dress and place their pooches in these kinds of events. However, overall, these fashions shows seem to be thrown in the spirit of fun.
On a lazy, hazy weekend, there’s nothing more fun than gathering together with a few close friends for a bit of friendly competition. Also, people who delight in dressing up their dogs regularly have yet another excuse to invest into a designer sweater with four holes. So, canine fashion shows are probably going to be the “thing” to do for a while until another animal fad takes over the hearts of America.
