If you are like many dog owners, you plan on taking photos of your dog on Christmas Day. In order to make them festive and fun, try one of these five ideas. They are easy and will make great pics for your Christmas photo album.

1) Dog-in-a-box: Place your dog in a wrapped gift box. Make sure it’s one that is bigger than him. Then, take a picture as he looks up.

2) Santa’s helper: Dress your dog up in a Santa hat and shirt. Then, place him under the tree or near presents. Make sure he’s looking directly at you when you take the photo.

3) The ultimate present: Tie a ribbon or bow around your dog’s neck. Place him in front of the fire place or under the Christmas tree. Snap a shot of him stretched out and relaxed looking at you.

4) Rudolph the red-nose rein-dog: Place a red button over your dog’s nose (if he lets you) and put reindeer ears on his head. Take this photo of him standing up on all fours or two hind legs as if he were planning on leaping into the air.

5) Sleeping beauty: Place your dog in front of the fire place on a green or red palette. Shape him into a circle. Make sure his eyes are closed as if he is sleeping when you take the photo.
