Back in July, 2009, the Miami International University of Art & Design announced they had been approved to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.

As a participant the in the Yellow Ribbon Program, Miami International University of Art & Design will voluntarily be able to:
The Yellow Ribbon Program allows institutions of higher learning the ability to asist with tuition costs exceeding the GI Bill's current maximum benefit rate, based on the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate in the applicable state.
Miami International University of Art & Design will contribute $3,413 per academic year to eligible veterans to offset those expenses and matched (same amount) by the V.A. (Department of Veteran's Affairs).
