Have you ever seen a pendulum in a store and wondered what people do with them?  Have you ever wondered how a pendulum works?  Are you looking for a new way to access the bodies energy system to extract information?  Then perhaps a pendulum is for you.

A pendulum can be made from almost any material.  It requires no more than a "bob" on the end of a string or chain.  In a pinch, you can even use your keys (I know I have!).

Essentially, a pendulum, hanging from the first and second fingers and thumb, acts as a reactor to the bodies energy, and in it's movement, exacts an answer to a posed question.

Deciding on a pendulum can sometimes be tricky.  When choosing pendulums made of natural materials, i.e. gemstones, take into account the effect that stone will have on your work.  For example, Rose quartz, a beautiful stone, vibrates with the feminine, and can be good for doing work with women and children.  However, Rose quartz is also very good at picking up and holding energy (like a mom), and will need to be energetically cleansed more often that a pendulum made of metal, like brass.

The first step after acquiring, or creating, your pendulum, is to establish your "yes" and "no" responses.  Typically, most people will find that a yes goes either up and back, or in a circle, while no responses take the opposite.  Once you have established your yes/no/maybe responses, it's time to try it out.

Hold the pendulum in your right hand for a minute or so.  Energy enters the body on the left side, leaves on the right side.  Allow the pendulum to become warm from your natural body heat.  Then, select a product, topic, or question, and try it out.

Example.  Let's say you are in a store, and are wondering which apples are the freshest.  Holding the pendulum in the hand as described above, ask, "which of these apples has the best energy, and is the healthiest".  By posing the question, you open your energy to that of the apple, and allow yourself (and your pendulum) to see which has the highest vibrational frequency.

Perhaps that seems like a silly example, but it works just as well when selecting herbs, vitamins, health care products, or when muscle testing for various conditions.

Working with a pendulum can help you become more in tune with energy, from others, and from yourself.  It is a fun tool to use, and once mastered, can act as a quick and easy resource for making choices in our own health care.  Remember, the body knows best. Trust your own energy system.
