In Thrill the World announces six Bay Area locations we learned where we could participate in this year's event to beat the world record for simultaneous dancing to Michael Jackson's “Thriller.”
Turns out quite a few people came onboard, because Thrill the World has announced that they beat the world record. This year there were 22,923 people dancing at 278 events in 32 countries. And to sweeten the deal, Thrill The World raised over $85,000 for 80 charities.
Next year's event will be Sunday, October 24 at 4:30 am GMT/UTC, which is Saturday in some parts of the world. If you're interested in participating you can start practicing with free dance instruction videos.
Here are some videos from this year's local events. It's great to see so many youngsters participating. The zombie make-up application in Alameda is interesting, and the comedy in Santa cruz is pretty cool too.
