There are several haunted houses to visit in the Bay Area.  They range from neighborhood presentations to full-fledged professional productions.  Check the websites below for more information and any restrictions.  (One location doesn't allow costumes.) 

 

Leave your cell phone in the car as some electronic equipment used in haunted houses can erase the phone's memory.

 

 Haunted House of Blackbeard

  • Fetterly Playhouse for the Arts
  • 3467 Sonoma Blvd Suite #10, Vallejo
  • Oct 15-17, 22-24, 29-31
  • Thurs & Fri 5-7 and 10:30-11:30 pm, Sat 3-7, 10:30-11:30 pm
  • 3rd year, family friendly, $6 admission.
  • Buy tickets online.

 

Halls of Madness

  • Dorsey Ave, Fremont
  • October 23-25, 30 & 31
  • Fri & Sat: dark to 11 pm, Sun: dark until 10 pm
  • 11th year, ages 8 and over.
  • $3 with two canned food donations or $5 without donations.
  • Food will be given to S.A.V.E. (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments)

 

Cursi House of Screams

  • 5625 Lewis Way, Concord, Directions
  • Oct 23, 24, 30 & 31, 7 pm to 10 pm
  • Donations accepted.
  • Not recommended for children under 6.

Pirates of Emerson

  • 45021 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, Directions
  • Oct 15-31, closed Oct 19-20
  • Sun-Thurs 7-10 pm, Fri & Sat 7-11 pm, Oct 31 7-midnight
  • Six attractions on almost 5 acres for $20, $30 speedy entry.
  • 18th year in operation, award winning.
  • Buy tickets online, $3 parking fee. 
  • Thirteen-years-old and older.

 

Sanctuary of Evil

  • 936 Carpenter Rd, Oakley, Directions
  • Open through Nov 1
  • Fri & Sat: 7-10 pm, Sun 7-9 pm, closed Mon-Thurs
  • 8th year, 1.5 acres, corn maze included
  • $5 admission, $3 coffin ride,
  • $7 combo ticket

 

Stoneham Asylum

  • 251 City Park Way, San Bruno
  • Oct 23, 24 & 30: 6-9:30 pm, Oct 29: 5-8:30 pm
  • Ages 7 and up, $5 admission, $4 if before Oct 23.

Gyros 4D Fear Factory

  • Raging Waters, San Jose, Directions
  • Oct 15-18 and 22-31
  • Thurs & Sun 7-10 pm,  Fri & Sat 7 to midnight
  • 21st year, not recommended for children.

Haunted House of Moss Beach

  • 601 Kelmore St, Moss Beach
  • 12th year
  • Oct 15-31, Thurs-Sat
  • Thurs: 7:30-9:30 pm
  • Fri & Sat: 7:30-11 pm
  • Halloween: 7-11pm
  • Donations accepted.
  • Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.  No infants.

 

The Haunted Barn

  • 3131 Pacific Ave., Livermore
  • Oct 22-31, Thurs-Sat
  • Wed, Thurs & Sun: 7-10 pm
  • Sat: 7-11 pm
  • Halloween: 7 to midnight
  • $7 admission

 

*Haunted Houses are not recommended for visitors who are pregnant or in poor health.
