The Rev Jesse Jackson address the media outside the family home of late
pop star Michael Jackson in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles on
Friday, June 26, 2009.

Not satisfied with the results of the current autopsy report, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has encouraged the Jackson family to get their own private tests.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office performed an autopsy on the singer's body on Friday but deferred a finding on the cause of death pending further tests that could take more than a month.

Jesse Jackson says the family's wound from the pop star's death is being kept open by the mystery of the cause of death.

Brian Elias, lieutenant at Los Angeles County Department of Coroner, said: "My understanding is that they have requested a second autopsy. But we have no way of confirming that.

"The body is in a mortuary and if they want to proceed with a separate autopsy, it is up to them."

The Jackson are reported to be searching for answers about the singer's last days amid reports that he received a shot of the powerful painkiller Demerol shortly before his death and claims he was regularly taking a cocktail of prescription drugs.

Information on Demerol and it's effects can be found here.
