I feel like I write about the Ron Clark School far too much.  But what can you do when there is a program that is top notch and inspiring kids to learn.

I just saw on today's news that students from the Ron Clark School will be performing their new song about Obama at the inauguration, and the girls are being fitted for ball gowns as I write this.

How exciting...  One young lady remarked on the news "I never knew learning would take me this far".  With a start like this, I am sure she will go much, much further.

Here's and excerpt from the AJC article

A group of students from an inner-city Atlanta private school that scored an Internet hit with a rap about the election is headed to Washington, D.C., to perform during inauguration events.

About 20 students from the Ron Clark Academy will sing their new song, “Dear Obama,” during at least four inaugural balls on Jan. 20. At one of the events, the students will share the stage with R&B stars Usher and Patti LaBelle.

So what are they performing?  Here's a youtube video of their song Dear Obama along with the story from when Oprah sent them a special Christmas Gift.

Go Ron Clark and Kids!
