A teach for America teacher wrote a post that really touched my heart.
I’m exhausted and can’t stop crying. What have I gotten myself into? I suck at this. There’s always so much to do, and I don’t feel like I’ve ever done enough... And are they really gonna get it the next time? What purpose do I have here really? I’m just so tired…and I barely have time to myself… I just want to go home.
Show me a teacher who cries over their students, and I'll show you a good teacher. The good news is she was just having a bad night and felt better the next day.
So here's to all the teachers new, or veterans, young or old, who cry over their students. Thank you for caring so much.
