Here is a list of last minute low cost gift ideas for that teacher in your life.

1.  Cup-o-pencils:  Pick up one of those "love my teacher" mugs and fill it with pencils.  Don't forget to throw in a pencil sharpener.  1 mug, 50 pencils, and 1 pencil sharpener will cost you about $7.00.

2.  A case of hand sanitizer:  Show her you care by keeping her healthy.  Keeping hand sanitizer on her desk will help keep her students hands clean and in turn prevent germs from spreading germs in the classroom.  You should be able to find 12 bottles for about $20.00.

3.  A tower of Kleenex:  There will be no more runny noses in her classroom!  Teachers generally require each student to bring in a box of cleanex at the beginning of the schoolyear, but when they run out, (in December) they supply them for the rest of the year. Stack to boxex in a tower putting a bit of double sided tape in between.  Tie a bit red bow around the boxes.   At about $2.00 a box (you might want to use coupons) you can get six big boxes for $12.00.

4.  A case of printer paper:   A 5 ream case costs about $21.00, but you can lower the price by recyling a couple of ink cartridges.  Office supply stores give discounts for turning in empty cartridges.

5.  Art paper rolls.  Art paper typically costs $14.00 for a 400 X 12 foot roll. Throw in a couple of boxes of crayons or markers to make the gift complete.

So by now I am sure you get the idea.  If you have educators in your family and are wondering what to buy them for Christmas, purchase classroom supplies that you know they will need.

Happy shopping!
