For a limited time, Bayer HealthCare is offering $20 vouchers so pet owners can take their cat or dog to the veterinarian. From now until February 28th, the company that makes Advantage flea treatment and has the adorable commercial of a puppy singing about being protected while he is away at camp is offering coupons for medical care.
The goal of the program is to help pet owners affected by the slow economy with a voucher that will defray some of the cost to visit a veterinarian. Bayer HealthCare is concerned that many owners will decide to put veterinary care on the back burner. They worry this practice may put the health of cats and dogs at risk for contagious diseases that are currently controlled by vaccinations. They don’t want to see preventable illnesses re-introduced to our pets.
Here is how the program works. Bayer HealthCare is giving away a little more than 80 vouchers every hour from 9:00a.m. -9:00p.m. Eastern Time with a maximum of 1,000 vouchers awarded each day. Participants apply for the voucher on the Bayer Health Care website.
The coupon must be used for preventive care such as vaccinations, wellness exams, flea and tick treatments, heartworm prevention and dental care. A complete list is printed on their website. The vouchers are going fast, so if your cat or dog is due for a check-up visit the website today.
