I just found out about a cool networking and informational event taking place this weekend in Tempe. Hosted by the National Speakers Association - Arizona, the event features a series of talks on business building topics. Here is an overview of what you can expect:
Sarah Singer-Nourie, an award-winning trainer, educator, and coach, will be talking about "Tapping Their Greatness with High Impact Training." This interactive session will "engage you in the secrets to motivational teaching with any content and any audience." Based on brain research, the session will help you deliver workshops that get their attention, give them an experience of the content, and erase the need to repeat the information.
If part of your business model includes giving workshops and seminars, this is probably a very good session to attend.
Jim Taszarek, voted one of the 100 Most Influential Phoenix Business Leaders, will share "Computer, Digital, Online Tools for Speakers." His talk will cover social networks, e-mail marketing, mobile marketing, Web 2.0 and more.
Even if speaking isn't part of you business model, I believe this session will provide you with value.
Gwyn Nicholsa book editor and ghostwriter, and Debra Exner, a Professional Certified Coach and president of the Phoenix chapter of the International Coach Federation, will talk about "How to Write Your Book (or Next Book) Before You Retire." Writing a book is an excellent way to increase visibility and establish your expertise. (I should know, since I'm launching my first business book next week!)
