OS 3.0 logoCut, Copy & Paste You can cut, copy and paste from pretty much any application, to any application, including copying images from a Web site. Quickly and easily cut, copy, and paste text from application to application. Plus, if you've typed text in Mail, Messaging, Safari or Notes that you want to delete, just gently shake the iPhone, and a dialog asks you if you want to "Undo Typing," or "Cancel."

Landscape Keyboard You can rotate your iPhone (or iPod touch) so the keyboard is Portrait and much larger in Mail, Messages, Notes, and Safari.

MMS Message Support Eventually, once AT and T gets their act together later this summer, iPhone users will be able to send MMS messages, including messages with video, photos, and audio, and support for using the camera from within Messages.

Voice Memos When you install the 3.0 update, you'll notice a new Voice Memos application, that allows you to record audio from pretty much anything, using the built in microphone or the mic on your iPhone headset.

Calendar The Calendar has a slightly new display, but now supports Microsoft Outlook for Exchange, so you can sink with your work calendar, as well as subscribe to other CalDAV calendars.

iTunes Store Now allows you to buy and download movies, TV shows and audiobooks right to your iPhone, as well as music.

Stocks The basic application has a much better display, and you can view stock charts in landscape.

Safari Much faster page loading, and better support to autofill of IDs and passwords. Plus, when you tap and leave your finger on a Web link on a page in Safari, a three option dialog will ask if you want to open the link, copy it (to link locations) or open it in a new page; if you choose "new page," the link opens in a new Tab within Safari.

Stereo Bluetooth Support for stereo Bluetooth means you can very easily link your iPhone to a lot of car stereo systems, for hands-free calls and iPod use, not to mention using stereo Bluetooth headphones.

Shake to Shuffle Just set the iPod preferences in Settings, and a gentle shake will shuffle to a different song from your music.
