Adrienne Bailon of The Cheetah Girls is the latest young female star to be embarrassed when private sexy photos show up online.
In the case of these photos, they apparently came from Bailon's laptop, which was stolen late last month at JFK Airport.
The laptop disappeared from her luggage cart at the airport, and she reported the loss to the Port Authority. Later that day her record label received an anonymous phone call from a man saying he had her laptop and would return it for $1000.
A meeting was set up at JFK and the laptop was retreived, minus several semi-nude photos of Bailon she had taken as an anniversary present for boyfriend Robert Kardashian.
TMZ.com reported the story on Friday, apparently thanks to a tip from Bailon's camp. The story was timed to be out ahead of the semi-nude photos, which surfaced Sunday on the web site MediaTakeOut.com.
The photos are harmless enough, basically a couple of risque shots of a scantily-dressed Bailon, including one of her bent over showing off her tattooed butt.
On Sunday evening, a spokesman for Bailon released the following statement:
"The photos that have surfaced of Adrienne Bailon were stolen from her laptop over a week ago at an airport in NY and sent to several media outlets. These photos were taken in private. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or person's sending these private photos out.
Adrienne is deeply sorry for any pain this may have caused to her fans."
