Does your choice for President give an indication of what television shows you're likely to enjoy?
According to a new survey by AllYourTV.com, the answer is yes.
AllYourTV.com asked more than 7,800 of its readers to identify which candidate they were likely to vote for in the upcoming Presidential election. Readers were then asked to pick their favorite veteran primetime TV show (excluding news and sports programming), as well as their favorite new primetime TV show.
According to the results of the survey, the favorite TV show of likely McCain voters is "Dancing With The Stars," followed by "C.S.I." Obama voters chose "Grey's Anatomy," followed by "The Office."
The favorite new series of likely Obama voters is "Fringe." Likely McCain voters opted for "The Mentalist."
While the list did roughly follow the viewer demographics of each show, there were some surprises. NBC's "Chuck" and The CW's "90210" fared much better in the survey than they do on the weekly ratings list. Some people might be surprised by the strength of "Life On Mars," which made the list of favorite new shows for both candidates.
