J. Crew has really been impressing me lately (and not because of Michelle Obama's transparent PR stunt). No longer the stand-by place for chinos and sweater sets, they've really stepped up the glam factor and put some pizzaz back into preppy.
I am do drooling over their gold Thompson Tote ($198). It's that perfect shade of shimmery light gold that is blingy without being garish. This tote just screams luxe, and is a perfect winter bag.
