Sen. Lindsay Graham almost applauds Obama’s remarks on health care

For those who have been following the news cycle today, most of the attention has focused around Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst declaring the president a liar. It was unprecedented, disrespectful, and realizing that he had let his inner-town hall screamer take control briefly, he offered a prompt apology.

While this little gem did not receive the same level of attention, it is worth taking a look at Sen. Lindsay Graham bracing to applaud the president’s remarks on health care before he remembered, “Oh, crap! I’m a republican!”

Let there be no question that our GOP brethren have made the conscious decision to kill health care reform – concerned more with winning congressional seats in 2010 than providing affordable insurance to all Americans. Democrats could implement the Patients’ Choice Act – the republican’s own plan – and the GOP would still oppose them.
