With the Lunar New Year finally come and gone, I wanted to share a few secrets about some great cheap eats in and around the International District of Seattle, also known as China town.

While not everyone will be interested or adventurous enough to try Chinese dim sum, it is truly a cheap eat favorite of mine.

Many Asian cultures have similar varieties of steamed buns, or fried, for me, the Chinese have been doing it up right for centeries!

For the price, $2.00-$5.00 per dish, your adventure in dinning starts at the New Hong Kong restaurant, which is located just outside of the International District proper on Jackston street.  During peak hours, mainly a lunch item, steamed trays of noodle wrapped meats and seafood cruise the pathways on wheeld carts, around the dinning area.  Selection choices vary from types of meat or seafood, savor or sweet in flavor, and steamed, fried or baked, such a choice!  While I tend to shy away from Chicken and duck feet, the tripe is a favorite of mine.  Most Chinese restaurants in the ID serve Dim Sum, but here at the New Hong Kong, the service is fast, if you come during the lunch rush, the selections are fresh and hot.

With free parking during the weekends, this place is my new best friend!
