Washington, D.C. - Last night, New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen voiced her support for the federal budget resolution currently before the U.S. Senate. She made the following remarks while speaking from the Senate floor.

"Our national energy strategy has been on an unsustainable course for some time. We are overly dependent on foreign oil and we must begin to address the threats of climate change."

"These challenges call for a paradigm in the way we produce and use energy and I am pleased that the budget resolution before us makes investments in clean energy technology, energy efficiency, and modernization of our energy infrastructure. I believe these investments will create new green collar jobs here at home and save consumers money."
