Acerbic author and conservative commentator Anne Coulter followed her ‘lifetime’ banning by NBC with an appearance on this morning’s Today Show.

In an exchange with host Matt Lauer, Coulter noted that she was “delighted to hear” that she wasn’t banned for life, as had been previously reported on the Drudge Report and about a thousand other websites (including this one).

Coulter, who is out and about promoting her new book, “Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ and Their Assault on America”, told Lauer that she could have been rescheduled in a different time slot rather than being dropped from the four hour program.

The segment (which can be seen in the video link below) focused on Coulter’s constant references to the President-elect as “B. Hussein Obama” as well as her derisive view of single mothers.

“Any societal problem is the result of single motherhood,” she told the Today Show host, expanding on the words from her latest book that have caused more controversy than her repeated usage of the incoming president’s middle name.

Anne made a return appearance during Today’s fourth hour and discussed – with co-host Hota Kotb – a previous book, “Godless”, where Coulter chastises some of the 9/11 widows as “self-obsessed women” who seemed to be “enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much.”

Kotb categorized such colorful Coulter observations as, “just a turn-off.”

Love her or hate her, we all have to agree on two things: Anne Coulter is a self-marketing genius, and her ever-thinning frame could benefit from a couple sandwiches.
