Claim To Fame:

After an unexpected injury sidelined a stint with the New England Patriots, New England born and raised Brian J. White made a trip out to Hollywood and hasn't looked back.

In fact White made his debut on the same screen as Brandy Norwood (after appearing in 'The Best Man' and 'Felicity') via the hit UPN series "Moesha," so who can blame him for falling in love with Hollywood !

While working with Norwood in 2000, White landed a role alongside 'Family Matters' and 'Soulfood' stars Darius McCrary and Irma P. Hall in "Something to Sing About (2000)". However, like most talented artists and veterans White's star took a few years to truly rise.

Between 2000 and 2007 White kept busy with roles on Moesha spin-off 'The Parkers', 'The Lone Ranger,' 'Dragnet' and "Nancy Drew' before landing the UPN series 'Second Time Around'.

Recognized for its ensemble cast, 'Second Time Around' held strong on UPN for a year, where White starred alongside real life couple Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker.

During this period of time White could also be seen in "Mr. 3000," 'Trois 3: The Escort,' 'Venice Underground' and 'Dirty' (Cuba Gooding Jr.).

In 2007, the match was lit for Brian J. White with not just one blockbuster at the Box Office but two including Tyler Perry's 'Daddy's Little Girls' and 'Stomp The Yard'. The latter of the two, Stomp the Yard, opened with nearly $25 million during January of that year and has since earned over $61 million in the United States alone.

In '...Yard,' White appeared alongside Meagan Good, R&B singer Ne-Yo, and Columbus Short as leader of Theta Nu Theta fraternity (Sylvester).

Since 'Stomp The Yard' White has gone on to work on some of Hollywood's latest and greatest action flicks including '12 Rounds' 'In The Name of the King' and 'Fighting (2009)' while also taking on the small screen via a reocurring role on 'The Shield' and 'Moonlight'.

Brian J. White is also due to appear in 'The Cabin By The Woods,' 'Hickory Nation,' 'Mama Black Widow' and the Tyler Perry helmed 'I Can Do Bad All By Myself'.
