Rihanna is quickly gaining momentum on the pop charts, while at the same time boosting ratings for ABC and its primetime player 20/20.
"Russian Roulette," the entertainer's first official single to be released from "Rated R," moved 13 spots (36-23) on the Pop Songs chart just hours before a primetime interview airing on ABC Friday.
A reported 8.2 million watched as Rihanna sat down with Diane Sawyer on ABC's '20/20' to discuss everything from a troublesome childhood to the night that changed both her and Chris Brown's lives forever.
The strongest ratings for '20/20' this season, Rihanna's interview also ranked high among viewers between the ages 18-34.
ABC's relationship with Rihanna is far from over as the entertainer is due to appear on the network hosted American Music Awards November 22.
