Have you heard of the Chugay Tongue Patch? It's a barbaric new idea in weight loss.
Developed by a Southern California doctor, the tongue patch is a postage stamp-sized bit of metal mesh that is surgically attached to the center of your tongue, making eating (and probably everything else) painful. Patients are then reduced to a liquid diet.
According to Dr. Chugay's Web site, 10 people have had the patch attached to their tongue and have reported substantial weight loss.
Hmmmm, bet a chocolate milkshake would make your tongue feel much better.
See where I'm going with this? Any stupid device can be defeated by a determined hungry person. Better to combine a healthy, balanced diet with exercise and journaling for lasting weight loss.
Journaling may be one of the best ways to lose weight. A recent study in in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine shows that keeping a food diary may double your weight loss efforts.
And it doesn't involve installing screening on your tongue.
