New products that have found their way into my kitchen:

HomeFree Cookies: You can get over your Mommy Guilt over not baking your own cookies by buying these for your kids. These cookies -- in classic flavors such as chocolate chip, oatmeal and chocolate-chocolate chip -- are organic, vegan, made with 100 percent whole grain, trans fat and cholestrol free. (The mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are faboosh.) But most importantly in our house with a peanut-allergic kid, they are free of common food allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy and eggs. When every calorie should count for something, these are a good way to get your cookie on. More info at homefreetreats.com.

Crofter's Superfruit Spreads: Looking for something to swirl into your nonfat Greek yogurt? Try one of these spreads, which come in four varieties -- North America (my fave, with blueberries and cranberries), South America, Asia and Europe. All are blended with Morello cherries and red grapes and organic Fair Trade sugar. They're also 30 calories a tablespoon, 10 fewer than the regular supermarket fruit spreads. There are big chunks and sometimes whole berries in the spreads, and all of the featured fruits are high in antioxidants. More info at croftersorganic.com.

Baconnaise Lite: After groovin' over J&D Foods' Bacon Salt, I decided to give the Baconnaise a try and ordered the Lite version, which has 30 calories per serving (the regular has 80).  Like all their products, there's no actual bacon in the mayo, just an amazingly bacony flavor, which is kosher since there's no piggy. The light Baconnaise is great on sandwiches, dips and potato salad. More info at baconnaise.com.

Ultragrain White Whole Wheat Flour: If you're into baking and want a sneaky simple way to make your creations healthier, switch out your regular flour for this one. It has more than 4 ½ times the fiber of refined white flour and is great for baking breads and pizza dough. More info at ultragrain.com.

Everybody's Nuts South of the Border Pistachios: I still love their Salt and Pepper flavor the best, but Everybody's Nuts has come up with a tasty new variety, which has notes of chili and lime. It's a better way to satisfy a Dorito craving. Pistachios have three times the fiber and protein found in a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos. The healthy monounsaturated fat found in pistachios will keep you fuller longer than a chippy snack.  More info at everybodysnuts.com.
