A few seasons ago, Alaska's Biggest Loser contestant Kai Hibbard stood beside Florida's Mark Wylie and New York contestant Erik Chopin as season 3 of The Biggest Loser came to a finale. Chopin was crowned the winner but Wylie and Hibbard also lost lots of weight and looked fantastic.
Turns out, Wylie has been the true weight-loss winner. He has kept his weight off, gained some serious muscle, and is working with the fantastic group (and his employer) Best Buddies International to come up with fitness programs for the mentally disabled.
Chopin was on a January episode of Oprah, talking about how he gained back half of the 200 pounds that he lost on the show.
Recently, the Anchorage Daily News caught up with Kai and a few days ago published an update on her weight struggles. In the past Kai had been quite outspoken about the tactics used on the show and she throws no punches in this intervew as well.
After the show ended, she gained a little weight back, got married and recently had a baby boy. So now she's dealing with a post-baby body and a "volatile all-consuming cycle with food and exercise" as the story says (read it HERE).
"I am absolutely the wrong person to ask about what a normal attitude is toward weight," she says.
