Every now and then I enjoy perusing the "food porn" at the photo blog This is Why You're Fat, a compendium of ridiculous real and possibly improvised restaurant creations. Usually it's after eating a sensible salad with turkey breast.

The latest contribution to the collection is an actual Taco Town taco, inspired by the Saturday Night Live TV commercial spoof.

And they ate it.

What's funny about the SNL skit, below, is how close it is to reality. Taco Bell used to have a healthier Border Menu, then dumped that in favor of cheese- and bacon-stuffed items.

But lately the pendulum has swung the other way and it reintroduced a healthier Fresco Menu, with nine items that have less than 9 grams of fat. They also use reduced-fat sour cream in all their menu items, so perhaps the chain is seeing the 'lite."
