Ali introduced Prevention editor in chief Liz Vaccariello who gave them a pop quiz on diet and aging. We learned that sodas of all kinds lead to metabolic syndrome, cutting down on calories can prolong your life and squats are better than push-ups.
Quote of the week, from Jillian: “I don’t care if one of your legs falls off or one of your lungs explodes.”
That last-chance workout looked brutal but it appears that the teams are getting used to their new trainers.
Weigh-in: Blue Team Dane made it to the 100-pounds-lost mark – the quickest in Biggest Loser history. Watching Kristin lose 10 pounds made me happy – she’s becoming my favorite contestant. She usually has great things to say, like tonight when she mentioned how she used to watch people lose weight on the show while she sat frustrated on the sofa. But her mom upstaged her with a whopping 14-pound loss. Black Team has a 3-pound advantage, which they won at the challenge. Helen made it to One-derland with a 10-pound loss. Mike made it under 300 pounds with a 10-pound loss. Blue Team lost the weigh-in but Cathy won immunity with her huge 14-pound loss.
Elimination: Ron threw Dane under the bus and suggested that he should go because he could have the most success at home. Ron’s vulnerable because of his bum knee and subsequent smaller weight loss. And Dane wound up getting punished for his success by being eliminated, so Ron's plan worked. But since he's been home he's already run a marathon.
