British singer Adele is fine with her size

America was introduced to British soul singer Adele on Saturday Night Live but she's been tearing up the charts across the pond for awhile, even winning the Brit Awards first-ever Critics' Choice.

While her sound has been compared to fellow Brit Amy Winehouse, her look is anything but "junkie chic." Says Adele in Britain's Sunday Mirror:

“People are starting to go on about my weight but I’m not going to change my size because they don’t like the way I look."

And then she said something naughty, which we can't repeat. She continues:

"The focus on my appearance has really surprised me,’ she said. ‘I’ve always been a size 14 to 16, I don’t care about clothes, I’d rather spend my money on cigarettes and booze. I like having my hair and face done, but I’m not going to lose weight because someone tells me to. I make music to be a musician not to be on the cover of Playboy."
