Looking for a safe, fun alternative to traditional trick-or-treating this weekend? Check out what’s going on in and around Thornton this week:

Thursday, October 29

Halloween at The Hop, 5-7 p.m. at The Hop in Thornton (click HERE for more information and for directions).
What: Unlimited access to inflatables, trick-or-treat favors, a costume contest, karaoke contest, and snacks and drinks.
Cost: $6 per child for the entire two hours.

Friday, October 30

Family Fun Festival, 6-8:30 p.m. at North Metro Church located at 12505 Colorado Blvd. in Thornon. 
What: Live music, games, bounce houses, face painting, obstacle course, free candy, and costume contests. Plus, enjoy $5 meals from Chick-Fil-A at 6 p.m.
Cost: FREE!

Spooktacular Tricks and Treats, 6-8 p.m. at JungleQuest, 9499 Washington St. in Thornton.
What: Two full hours of play on the zip lines, swings, and the jungle gym plus two slices of pizza with juice, games, prizes and a costume contest.
Cost: $17 per person.

Saturday, October 31

Harvest Fest, 4-7 p.m. at Northern Hills Christian Church, just east of Colorado Blvd. on Hwy 7 in Thornton.
What: Bounce houses, carnival games and hayrides. Enjoy $1 hot dog dinners (includes hot dog, chips and a drink).
Cost: FREE!

Light Night Community Carnival, 5-8 p.m. at Crossroads Church North Campus (104th and Huron in Northglenn).
What: Support Faith Force Middle School Choir with the purchase of a $3 pizza and pop combo. Enjoy games, candy and themed rooms. 
Cost: FREE!

Stonehocker Harvestfest, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 10950 Fox Run Drive in Northglenn.
What: Pumpkin carving, costume contest, and a chili cook-off contest with a chance to win $20!
