It's time to put on the costumes and lace up those walking shoes. The City of Thornton hosts its annual "Trunk or Treat" this Saturday, September 24 at the Multipurpose fields parking lot located at 108th and Colorado Blvd. The event will run from 6 - 9 PM.

Besides being a safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, Trunk or Treat is a great way to get the community involved in the spirit of the season. Car owners always come up with ultra-creative ideas for decorating their trunks, so this event is worth attending even if you're not interesting in filling up your Halloween bucket with goodies.

Plus, it's a great way to start filling up on candy an entire week before Halloween.

Admission for all attendees is $1 per person.
