Touraj Zaim, whose father Kourosh has been arrested in Tehran following the uprising after the infamous rigged election which resulted in hundreds of arrests and numerous deaths, has been on hunger strike in front of the San Francisco City Hall to bring attention to his father’s situation and that of other prisoners who wrongfully have been detained and kept in prisons for the last four months.

Kourosh Zaim, a member of Iran’s National Front, was arrested on June 21, 2009 in Tehran following his interview with Voice of America.

Touraj who noticeably has lost weight since the beginning of his hunger strike is on his tenth day of action. He will end the strike next Tuesday to join thousands of Iranian Americans who are to hold demonstrations against Mr. Ahmadinejad in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Please do visit Touraj at the Civic Center as he definitely can use some words of encouragement and support.
