An injured protestor in Tehran

June 14, 2009

Latest news from Iran suggest that a number of the clergy have joined people in their protest against Ahmadinejad's manipulated election results on June 12, 2009, and that a number of the opposition camp arrested yesterday have been released. At the same time, telephone connection to Iran has been disrupted and those inside the country have been blocked out of social networking sites such as Facebook.

There are also two petitions circulating the internet requesting the inernational community not to recognize Ahmadinejad as the President of Iran.
