St. Louis, Mo., saw the opening of its first brewpub in 1991, and twelve years later Schlafly had its first new bottling brewery since the end of Prohibition. Today, Schlafly Bottleworks produces more than 30 beer styles per year. While Pale Ale is the bottler's flagship brew, the company also offers such seasonal varieties as a Coffee Stout and special beers like the Christmas Ale.
