The unranked LSU Lady Tigers are currently 7-5,  most recently defeating Arkansas 62-42 after losing to the Connecticut Huskies on January 3 (join the club). After making the Final Four for the past 5 seasons in a row, LSU may be on the outside looking in this year.

Youthful inexperience may have gotten the best of the Lady Tigers this season. Last season, the squad had 9 upperclassmen on its roster, including 8 seniors. This season, 2 juniors (one junior college transfer) and one senior remain. Only one player averages in double digit scoring, junior guard Allison Hightower, with 13.5 points per game. LaSondra Barrett comes in second with 9.1 points per game. The Lady Tigers lost 83 % of its offense including 77% of its minutes played, 78% of is points, 78% of its rebounding, 83% of its assists, and 86% of its free throws made. Talk about growing pains…
