First Lauren Jackson, and now Swin Cash. Lauren Jackson will be undergoing season-ending arthroscopic surgery on her right ankle. Swin Cash may also be missing the remainder of the season with back surgery for a herniated disk. Storm Head Coach Brian Agler may be looking for replacements to fill the shoes of both Swin and Jackson who combine for an average of 30 points and 13 rebounds per game. Seattle is in second place in the west at 17-9 and looking to solidify a spot in the playoffs. It may be difficult without Jackson and Cash with the western conference being so tight this year. Phoenix, who is in last place, is only three games back out of the fourth and final playoff spot.

The Storm still have a slew of all-stars in Sue Bird, Yolanda Griffith, and Sheryl Swoopes. Both Griffith and Swoopes, who had their share of injuries in seasons past, are having less than stellar season. I am beginning to wonder if the addition of aging, injury-prone all-stars may have been a bad move for the Storm.  It will be interesting to see who will take the place of Cash and Jackson, and if the Storm can vie for a playoff spot without two of their top players.
