Mackinaw Trail Winery is located at 103 West Lakeshore Drive in Manistique. The winemaker is Raffael Stabile. He uses the best and most flavorful Michigan grapes to craft unique wines. The best known is perhaps Big Red which is a semi-dry blend.

If you are in the Upper Peninsula, visit the main store in Manistique and take advantage of the marina setting and Lake Michigan beach views. There are two other tasting rooms. There is one tasting room in Mackinaw City at Mackinaw Crossings (248 South Huron Avenue) and another in Petoskey at 204 Howard Street. Their hours vary:

• From May through September,they are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 8 pm and Sunday from noon until 5 pm.
• From October through December, they are open Monday through Saturday from noon until 6 pm.
• From January through April, they are open Thursday through Saturday from noon until 6 pm.

Look for their label at fine restaurants and wine merchants throughout Michigan including The Boulevard Market in Tecumseh, Nino Salvaggios in St. Clair, and Papa Jons in Birmingham.
