According to the website, they "will be picking strawberries until approximately July 8th. We are also picking tart cherries for the next three weeks with an automatic cherry pitter available. We will have u-pick raspberries starting approximately July 2nd. Our produce store is also open with fresh produce, cider, donuts, caramel apples, bakery items and much more. Our hours are 9a.m. to 6p.m. daily. U-pick fields close at 5:30p.m."

Here is part of their story:

"Blake Farms is a family owned and operated orchard & cider mill rooted in strong family traditions and a commitment to excellence. Our historic farm started in 1946 by Gerald and Elisabeth Blake and their thirteen children, it was one of the very first "Pick Your Own" orchards in Michigan. Blakes have expanded their operation to three separate locations with over 500 acres of orchard and farmland consisting of pick-your-own apples, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches, pumpkins, assorted vegetables and U-cut Christmas trees. Blakes are famous for their award winning apple cider and have been voted the number one apple orchard in Michigan by AAA authorities. Since its opening, Blake Farms has evolved into a family entertainment farm featuring train rides, pony rides, hayrides, cornfield mazes, several animated attractions and many other family oriented activities. We offer a Fall Festival celebration every weekend in September & October."

They have u-pick strawberries, pea pods, summer and fall raspberries, tart and sweet cherries, peaches, tomatoes, green peppers, green beans, pumpkins, apples, and Christmas trees. Click here for the harvest schedule.

You can phone the Cider Mill at 586-784-5343. You can phone the Big Apple at 586-784-9710. You can email them through the website.

  • The Labor Day Show will be Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1 from 10 am to 5 pm.
  • The Fall Festival Show will be Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7 from 10 am to 5 pm.
