A reader asked where she could purchase Herbs de Provence.

Herbs de Provence is an herb combination that has as many variations as devotees. With a fond nod to the Provence region in France, the blend has been recreated in kitchens throughout the world.

Lavender buds can be a key ingredient. Thyme, savory, basil, and rosemary form the base. Then, creative preferences take over.  Try your hand at developing your personal blend, or buy it ready to use.

A wonderful ready-made blend is available from Gabriel's Garden Lavender Boutique in Romeo. You can read more about this shop located in Romeo in an earlier article.
