World of Rocks is located at 42 North Huron Street in Ypsilanti.

World of Rocks is the kind of store where you can wander around and find interesting things in every corner and on every shelf. This fascinating shop carries geodes and amethysts. They have crystals and fossils. There are meteorites and shark teeth.

There are selections of Michigan rocks including copper and Petoskey stones. There are mineral samples like citrine and pyromorphite. There are polished and unpolished rocks of aquamarine, halite, ruby, and snowflake obsidian.

There is a great selection of gifts like jade bowls and onyx chess sets. There are boxes made of agate and sodalite candle holders. And there are seashells and other treasures of the deep.

They carry a line of beads for jewelry making. They have semi-precious stones made of Malachite, Lapis, Jaspers, Goldstone, Fluorite, Hematite, and. Labradorite. They have precious stones made of Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire. They carry seed beads, bone beads, and Austrian Crystals. Prices range from reasonable to quite expensive.

They also offer classes in beaded jewelry making. If you and two friends want a specific class, they are willing to work something out. They offer classes in basic beading, multi-strand jewelry, chain making, Chakra jewelry, metal working, macrame, wire wrapping, herringbone weave, and more. There are classes forming in November and again in January.

 Their store hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am until 5 pm, Wednesday and Friday from 11 am until 7 pm, Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm until 5 pm. You can phone them at 734 481 9981.
