  • Donate in-kind items that can be used or sold by the charity. Broken toys and torn clothing are inappropriate.
  • Shop at the area thrift stores to support the cause. (Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, Goodwill, Purple Heart)
  • Donate your unused car.
  • Volunteer.
  • Become an advocate.
  • Give even a small amount of money. According to Burns:

 

While there are many ways to give this holiday season, keep in mind that even a small cash gift often produces big benefits.
