Mustang's launch party July 13 at McNellies.
Just a friendly reminder for the masses. Monday July 13, at James E. McNellie’s Publis House, Oklahoma’s own Mustang Brewing Company will have its official launch party.
McNellie’s will host its annual Monday night pint night by featuring Mustang Brewing Company’s Mustang Golden Ale (MGA). The event starts at 5:00 pm and the first 200 people to order MGA will receive a Mustang Brewing Company logo pint glass.
I’m proud to say I had my first pint of MGA yesterday, and can say that I really enjoyed it. It is a great session beer and really works for the hot weather we’ve been experiencing lately. MGA is 5% ABV ale that pours a bright yellow hue with a clean white head that lasts almost the whole pint. The smell of grain and bread are present on the nose.
The taste consists of a clean, crisp and light mouth feel. Very little hops are present, but the malt is pleasant. A very clean and dry finish. A session beer was the aim and they hit it dead on.
The staff at Mustang seem to have the passion to create a great drinking beer for Oklahoma and have gotten some nice publicity from local sources. Be sure to check out the company’s website for on going updates.
Be sure to head out to McNellie’s on July 13 and grab a pint of MGA, meet the with the great people of Mustang Brewing Co. and enjoy an Oklahoma beer with some fellow Oklahoma drinkers. I’ll be looking to a Monday for a change. See you there!
