Lately, it seems that every few weeks some activity has been popping up on Oklahoma’s beer scene radar. For beer lovers that’s great to see.
November 1st is the date that Mustang Brewing Company’s Amber Lager hits the streets in six-packs. Mustang President, Tim Schoelen, is geared to brew some tasty, but easy drinking beer to enjoy for any occasion.
The Amber Lager, which has followed their Golden Ale, is described as being brewed with the finest blend of two-row barley, Tettnanger and Northern Brewer hops, containing 4.5% ABV and 18 IBU’s. Mustang Amber is a tasty, European-styled, red lager. Sounds interesting.
McNellie’s in Oklahoma City will have a Mustang Amber Pint Night on November 16, starting at 5:00 p.m. If this pint night is as successful as Mustang’s first pint night, you better arrive at 4:00 p.m. to ensure a seat and a Mustang pint glass.
Mustang Amber’s official launch party will be at The Wormy Dog, in Brcktown, November 27, when they help present Jeff Hobbs and the Jacks. Man, red dirt music and a Mustang Amber Ale, sounds too good.
I’ll be at McNellie’s for Mustang’s pint night to enjoy the fruits of their labors. I’ll let you know how it went. If you’re free that night, you should drop by and give Tim a shout. He’s doing a great job.
Good luck to Mustang Brewing Company; we wish Tim and his people much success with their new beer.
Cheers!
