I can't bring myself to make a hump day reference in the first sentence of this post. 

Here are your highly anticipated Wednesday night Recession Specials about the city, so you can finally formulate your evening's plans! 

1) Murray Hill doesn't have much to offer on the culinary front, but tonight's $35 special at Choice Kitchen & Cocktails is certainly appealing.  Their $35 "Unwined Wednesday" offer includes your choice of two appetizers and a bottle of select wine.  View the menu here.  380 Third Ave (between 27th & 28th).  212-779-1380; www.choicekitchennyc.com

2) Del Posto is offering 4 courses for $35 in their Enoteca only, which is the dining and bar area in the front of the restaurant.  You must ask your server for this special!  Additionally, there is a 3 course $32 lunch special advertised on their website.  85 Tenth Ave. (between 15th & 16th).  212-497-8090; www.delposto.com
